The strong bidding would suggest that it's still acceptable to some.
All those round Lucas lights remind me of a Gilbern I used to see occasionally where the entire rear panel was covered in them. The rear end being rather flat provided space for a full array of the things. Unfortunately I never saw it lit up.

Currently at £565 with 5 bids from 2 bidders and 4 days left. My son and I were suprised in the amount of enquiries he has had so hopefully it'll go up a bit more yet. |

Thank you. We've been reassembling my sons MK 1 Escort this week as he's come to the conclusion that A, He's never going to find the time to do it and B, nobody else is going to do it as good as he wants it for him.

Sold for £1029 and to think we thought we'd be lucky to get £300 for it. Not sure if the buyer is from the Rover 200/400 gang, a lower it with orange wheels laddie or an old boy yet. I'll let you know.

So it was bye bye Concerto this morning  the buyer was a lovely jolly fellow with an eclective collection of cars ranging from low mileage cars such as the Concerto, a Skoda Felicia, a Maestro and a Datsun Cherry to a Jensen Intercepter, Series 1 and 2 XJ6s and a Daimler Soveriegn once belonging to the HM the Queen. I dont think the Concerto is going to increase it's mileage much but he did say he might take it to the Lemans classic next year. |
