Below the Mini (and behind "Eric Morecambe") is a Ford Corsair with its bonnet and lights missing - I think as the grille looks familiar. The car that "Alan Whicker" is standing on the bonnet of is a Simca Aronde P60. The car on the very top if an early 60's Opel Kapitan or maybe Admiral.

Here's a thought. Was that front pressing the last Ford to have the hole for a crank handle? 105E Anglia didn't

Believe it or not, the MK1 Escort had a hole between 2 rectangular slots behind the front bumper and just below the number plate. It's more visible when a MK1 has its front bumper removed or on the sporty versions with quarter bumpers. I think it was intended for that interestingly but the production cars never had a starting handling provision in the end.

Interesting. Well, a bit! Looked into this further and during 1973 the panel was changed and the hole was omitted. Until then, the commercials were fitted with the matching bumper with hole, matching radiator with hole, crank pulley with attachment and the supplied toolkit included the starting handle. This is why early Nimbus etc campers had the lot fitted as well, because they were based on the vans.

Rob Walker and Richards Briers (there's a better alternative to him but I can't think of his name) on the Opel Kapitan, or maybe Diplomat.

The car on the very top if an early 60's Opel Kapitan or maybe Admiral. It's a Kapitän [P2] (1959–63). It seems the Admiral model name was resurrected for the series that replaced this model line I had to look-up Rob Walker! How about Derek Jameson to his left? Diplomat was also applied for the replacement model line onwards The LP dates from 1966. That Kapitän was only a six years old if that... such a shame an executive-class car became so invaluable in a just a few years

Struggled to find another Album cover worthy of posting in this thread. Saw this. Bit grotty. I think the car directly below the word Drenge is a Vauxhall FD Ventora, on account of its vinyl roof
Perhaps that's the back of Roddy McDowall (in his ape mask), between the Victor FE Estate and the Mini

A Citroen GS Break?) Can also make out, a Herald, a Maxi, possibly a Bedford HA van but what's that big square estate car on the top right? Front doesn't look quite right to be a Volvo, and then I thought an American International Travelall?? Bit rare for the UK though, unless it was from an American airbase, or could be a Jeep Wagoneer or even a Toyota Land Cruiser?? And what of the white car next to the Herald? Big Farina? Can also see an Angle box 105E and a Simca 1100 van with its bonnet open.

Dogfeet? Never heard of them either - I'm going to be busy playing catch-up! Ok, up on the right is a Skoda Octavia. By the time that LP was pressed for 1970 it would have been at most ten years old. They seems to have doctored the poor car in later issues!! Weird what they did with the Skoda......... the other 3 or so car visible; is the open topper a heavily crushed Minor convertible perhaps? I should know the shell of the 4 door saloon which matey in the black jacket is standing in front off but can't place it. As for the back cover photo, I can see another Anglia 105E, A Landcrab (not more than 6 years old by 1970, so why in the scrapyard already?? Accident write off?) Back of a Wolseley/Riley 1500/1.5, Austin A30/35 to the right and upper left of the pic, looks like an old Fintail Sunbeam Rapier.

Looks like it. Leif Garrett sitting in front of it Matey in the black jacket looks like Bobby Sands. How about a BMC Farina with the rear panel dented inwards? Sitting in the boot of the Morris Minor Series II (or MM?) is Elkie Brooks while Stephen Stills is up on the roof.

And what of the white car next to the Herald? Big Farina? Looks to be the biggest of Farinas, the 4-Litre R - check the wing and tail light treatment
