Saw Derek_UK's note about not knowing how to upload images, so gave it a check and this:

That would explain why I have never been able to upload photos to this forum.

Use something like Post Image to host them remotely. This is a free forum, space is limited sadly..

Can you get imgur on here or do you have to find it on the net?

All hosting sites are external. What has happened is that the site has a certain allocation of "free" storage. The membership has largely posted full sized images (4-6mB) to the board and eaten that allocation. It can be expanded considerably as a subscription service on a monthly basis, but Proboards is not particularly cheap and to date, there are only 30 some of us.
The hosting sites are all available on line, with varying degrees of performance. I have got my head round Flickr, Imgur is another, Postimage seems to be popular but I'm not sure why (haven't got my head round it yet) and plenty more if you choose to look. Some people put them up in the Clouds.
They all share one common feature, which is remote storage and the abilty to hotlink (usually by selecting from a drop down menu) to a website or forum by copying and pasting a link.
Best we can do chaps.

imgur.comQuick but clumsy postimages.org/Personally, the best for a whole bunch of photos. You can select the size (e.g. 640 pixel across best for this forum), then copy the thumbnails into your post in bulk. To do this, select the sizing then Choose Images: Then arrange in columns and copy the shortcut (next to 'copied'), Then paste this shortcut into your post. The result will be as this, 4 image thumbnails across the page: Of course, if you are using a mobile phone everything is a faff, perhaps why FB is a successful yet terribly messy posting board (with most lost off the page by next day), rather than a proper forum such as this. It's worth the extra effort!
