Use it or lose it springs to mind...Where have all the 'Oldn's gone...John Saab, 02 Man, Father Ted and the hoards of good classic car nuts that I have enjoyed reading their mechanical exploits and knowledge over the last decade or so? If you read this peeps then please..please..please come back.

I look in most days, but unless there's something I can contribute to I haven't much to say. You have been the lone voice on here for ages.

'junkyarddog' & 'harvey' Yay! there is life outside. Brilliant and thanks for taking the time to post. It would be such a shame if this site shuts down. The owner has tried to continue the 'Popular classics' website since the old site ended. There are so many old timers (classic and veteran vehicles) on the road so I would have thought that there are many..many interesting stories related to their experiences out there. I for one enjoy reading their exploits and endeavours. It could be me but I seem to notice that owners of cars at many shows seem to be middle aged or above...doesn't seem to be many young new blood coming into the ownership market...hope I'm wrong and I hope this site can be revived...Please...

I still log in occasionally. I find it such a faff too post photos on here that I mostly contribute to Instagram nowadays (killerwhale164) if you want to have a look.

I mainly log onto uksaabs but most of the peeps have the newer Saabs and most of them show very little interest in 'old timers' like my 2-stroke. I also find them quite argumentative and rude for no apparent reason save for that they can. Is it harder to post pics on here than other sites then? You can tell that I haven't got alot of experience with websites and the like.

Is it harder to post pics on here than other sites then? I can simply post photos straight from my phone to Instagam, if I could do the same here that would be great. I've uploaded nearly a thousand over the last month or so. When we came over from the other forum hosting site I think a lot of the regulars and probably younger members departed to Facebook which I'm not on.

I find it hard to trust FB. I have read scary stories about FB's spying, collating and selling of peoples internet movements, facial images etc. It happened to a couple of friends of mine so I deleted my account immediately. I find it hard to trust things that I can't understand and in this modern world..that's most things.

As for this forum I often see over 30 guests or more looking in on some days so there's definitely an interest still in it.

Hi 'bent8rover' ...how u keeping? okay I hope. I thought at Father Ted's School fete a few years back that you had a Citroën ...Did u sell it or is my memory failing like my other extrematies Hello! Am ok but lost the car mojo some while back The only Citroen I have actually owned (rather than borrow) was an XM, but that was sold-on in 2016 At the time it it was one of 26 left in UK of the top-flight 'Exclusive' model diesels. Just took a look and the DVLA lady, she says: 6 left ! Can't believe that the XM model is over thirty years old now! Since then the shopping list took a quiet turn. There was a similar age talking-dashboard Renault Safrane V6 for a bit (last one left). Still got two the Leyland Princesses, but mothballed

I think you remember the Renault Avantime from Ted Fest 2015, not a Citroen That spent more time off the road than on it
