I regretfully have my Saab V4 for sale. Reason is that I have acquired a 1934 Morgan to restore, and it will chew funds.
The Saab would seem to have been owned by enthusiasts all it's life, there is large file of receipts.
I have cut out corroded parts, not plated over, and have let in newly formed parts. It's now at the point where a little filling and sanding it's ready for paint, of course right now nothing is hidden under a shiny top coat.
All suspension parts were taken off the car, blasted and powder coated with new bushes, rally springs, bump stops etc.
Brakes have had a going over, new braided lines on the rear, the front appear fine.
New rear wheel bearings and seals are fitted.
It has a brand new Jetex exhaust, twin choke Weber on the correct manifold.
All ignition components have been replaced with new. Radiator has been flushed and pressure tested.
Tyres are all good quality, and as new.
The interior is sound, although as usual some sun damage on the velour. Ply boards in the boot are new. Tank has been taken out, internally cleaned and refitted.
The wings are good, although driver side could be better, rear wings are new fibreglass.
Under the wings all the underseal has been removed, any corrosion treated and the wings are now dry fitted so they can be readily taken off for painting. The filler strips are all good. These go between the shell and wings. New pressed number plates have not been fitted. All trim item are present and good. The "elephant ears are very sound with excellent badges.
Contact me on cyclekartinggb@gmail.com and I will send a complete list of what has been done , photos and what I have spent. Offers around £4700 will take it, the car is is Tamworth, Staffs.
