I'm all out of ideas then.... (Although when I'm told what it is I'll probably say "of course it is. I knew that!)
It's not a karrier is it?
It's a Bedford TK. On a V plate it must have been on of the last made I reckon.

I did consider it being a TK but I couldn't see the little cuurved rear quarter window they all seem to have. It is a late one. I took my HGV1 in a TL with a 6 speed box and a 2 speed axle coupled up to a 40 foot flat trailer. That was down at purfleet in about 1990.

Our last tipper, the old mans and mine was a TL860 with a 330 diesel.

Double spot here, is the chopped truck a Chevy and what's that lurking at the end of the hedge?

Truck is a Dodge. I have 4 of those.... I don't know what running gear it's on as none of those trucks have 4 stud wheels, only 5 or 8. I like the way the roofchop has necessitated a split screen, and to clear it it has 2 wipers each side with the wheelboxes hidden behind the skuttle panel. Shame they didn't fill in the original holes though.
The hedge find looks familiar, I'll know what it is when you tell me....

As for the car behind the hedge I really don't know but I bet B8R will.

Nice, is it earning its keep or just for show?

It earnt it's keep very nicely until Ken Livingstone decided he wanted me to pay £200 per day to use it... W*nker.
Now it sits in my garage until I can decide what to do with it.
It always looked well when it was working, and it didn't turn its nose up at much weightwise either.

Are the other three recovery trucks too? Apparently any diesel vehicle over just 3 years old will be charged a fortune to go into, IIRC, Westminster soon and that will be rolled out to even more boroughs.

Are the other three recovery trucks too? One was a 4x4 single cab with a speclift, the body of which was going to be put on the crewcab 2wd one I have, but that never happened because of me getting fed up with recovery. (Mostly the LEZ) The other one is a 4x4 crewcab which was the first one I got, and I put a Harvey Frost tubular crane on that one, which got me started doing recovery. Good trucks that work hard. Now the plan is to build one of them into something similar to the one you posted.
