Well, we keep telling him it is, but he insists it's a Wolseley 18-22 and reacts with gusto to the "P" word. It's a stalled project dating back to 2009 and last year, we managed to get it re-started. Slowly. The main shell has largely been done, but one inner wing, the valance area and both front wings could most kindly be described as horrible. And there aren't any wings. Or repair panels. Or anything, really.... That bit's got to go. Yours truly getting rid. Gratutitous "drama" shot. Splendid hole. It looked so much better than the rusty metal. We cut this out of a complete rotter many years ago. Aye, that'll do. Now make it fit.... Made a repair section for the outer inner wing/chassis leg. We did eventually persuade him to buy some decent drills. Plug welds are meant to be round, not triangular. Fitting. Came out all right. Top edge rolled in. Just look at that. Lovely. Wings came next. Offering up repair sections for fit. Sunroof becoming more obvious. A set of doors had to be chosen. We only had 16 to choose from. The four best were identified. One could be simply cleaned up and hung on the car. No, I didn't believe it either, but the other three made up for that. Bored... Slammed wiv da rat look anna big alloys. Maybe not quite what Harris had in mind. More wing stuff. And - more in a bit.

The little insert pieces around the arch were quite straightforward. Next we had to get more creative. That took three of us taking turns to make, as the will to live gradually drained away. Came up all right though. Other end. Threw it on the car - not bad, not bad. Then we could start the real fun on the other wing. Two lots of compound curvature to fit together and match the wing. Doddle. Not. Got it in the end. The other end we had to remake from scratch. Yup, that worked. And dropped on the car. Both wings will doubtless need a swipe of filler, but they are at least solid and made of metal. Typical damage to door. Inside corner repair panels made with a nice step in them to ensure that they fill with water like the originals. There's one on. Outer bit. Gas welded home. The very corner part has to flick out slightly and a MIG weld is extrememly hard. Flanges turned over and knocked down flat, Tidied up a bit, so that one can go on the car. Plenty more top come over the next few months. P45.
