Bought!
2003 JTD 115 ELX so it has the twin roofs and best donk. It's a 1-owner, clean and tidy one, with FSH 100k, fresh clutch and ticket. £1500 of the Queen's sovs.
Future Classic?
Well. If you are going to have one of these, it's got to be the pre-facelifter. 'Modern art', and all that. Wasn't interested in the later model prices, couldn't stretch to the Honda FRV either.
Either that, or is it so many car designs from the last five years have been so grim, that in hindsight this model doesn't look quite as bad as it once did?
I like the way it drives. They don't drive half bad at all.
The wife likes it plenty
The mother-in-law has named it the Popemobile
The Fiat is for the Missus. I bought it for her and she's given me her Volvo S40 to sell

Was going to sell the Multipla and even had a buyer lined-up. Didn't though, just 'mothballed' it.
As the hopeless 'Renault Spaceship' couldn't manage to be dependable enough to do just two stops down the motorway without a mishap, the Multipla was pushed back into action
It's still here. The jobs were hefty at MOT last month (front arms, track rods, tyres, another alternator) but after the Renault Experience it was deemed worthwhile
It's a runner. It keeps running. Hopefully it will, for a while longer. It's good to drive, being very easy to handle. The interior plastics are getting rough but all the soft fabrics are pretty hard-wearing and in good order. These Fiat diesels appear to go on and on like Peugeot XUDs?
It's a shame so few are left and they are being scrapped fast, mainly for being worn out as they were after all a budget-priced car; yet so usable. But, one big bill sends them off to the yard
Apart from all that, my daughter thinks of it as part of the family. Can't get a better vote for keeps than that? 8)[/quote]

10k later and its workhorseness has been proven
However, this heatwave has brought on a bout of broken air conditioner. Gah!

Three years on, still got it. It's served us very well. It's been a reliable daily commuter car for Wifey, averaging 40 miles a day.
Family holidays? That's when it's been in its element.
MOT news not too good. Coil spring, excess smoke, dicky alternator, drop links.
But it has done 40k+ with us now, and cost Wifey no more than tyres, a battery and the aircon rad.
No complaints here

[The Avantime is] dynamically and ergonomically leagues away from Multipla

Crikey it gets better... another MOT passed
We were thinking of changing it if a pass would be expensive. She also said she didn't want any weird cars again as all the School Mums and children spot her a mile off. But all it need was another drop link and a ticket was produced. Why does it eat drop links I wonder.
Anyway, after looking at a pristine Rover 25 Streetwise and a moonroof Audi A2 in similar colour, it decided to stay with us.
